Another successful cooperation between the University of Zakho and the University of Oldenburg is started for the period of two years 2017-2018. The name of the project is Nano-Zakho and has a budget of 100,000 Euro for each year funded by DAAD organization. The main coordinator from the University of Zakho is Dr. Diyar Sadiq who also managed another successful program with the same university in 2014-2015 and with the budget of 50,000 Euro. Prof.Dr. Christoph-lie Nau, the head of, "UltraschnelleNanooptik“ group, is leading the team of the University of Oldenburg in this project.

The aim of this project is to deepen the already established cooperation between the group of UltraschnelleNanooptik from the University of Oldenburg and the physics department at the University Of Zakho in the field of nanotechnology. This project will raise the reconstruction of the foundations of higher education in the University of Zakho.

In the first part of the project, Dr. Shaker Rasheed and Mr. Nawzad Abdullah Abduldareem participated in a research work in the University of Oldenburg and more participants will join the program as it is planned.
